Seems as if this place will never get done. Countertops are in - damn, I'm glad we switched out the standard granite. I knew from the day we got it that we'd hate it and sure enough, the one we got is fantastic. It appeals the rock-boy in me - garnets and schist oh my!
Toilets are going in as well - a couple downstairs and a few upstairs too. They've started to patch holes on the walls too which is a good sign. We need to start thinking about what we're going to do with the front yard.
Doesn't seem like they've done anything in the last week. You can see all the places where they have to touch up (Note, the banana peel is still in the light fixture). We got a new faucet and most of the mirrors and fixtures in the bathrooms. All the tile is done as well. I think the garage door looks pretty good painted.
Words can't describe the feeling of this carpet compared to the tile world we've known for so many months. I've give you that tile is a
cinch to clean up and low maintenance - but with little kids, you can't spend any time on the floor with them.
This carpet is a dream - it's a mid-brown with flecks of light brown, red, green and some blue. Perfect to hide the most righteous amounts of dirt, sand or cat yack for at least a couple days (or until you step in it).
As good as the carpet looks, we can't wait for the hardwood to go in - it's going to look like a million.
