This was the first year that both kids actual 'got it' - they understand presents, they get excited at the thought of tearing into boxes and finding out what is inside...it was a lot of fun. Hadley (being the clever girl she is) found a new way to figure out which presents where hers - by shaking them. Anything that sounded interesting or even just made a noise louder than a dull thud was instantly 'hers'. She would claim it no matter what the tag said.
Carvor on the other hand didn't care what it sounded like or whether there was a tag or not, he just proceeded to open anything. Not at all unexpected.
We are very thankful for what we have these days - there are many folks with fewer things. Glad that Nana came out to spend time with us too - I've never seen that much shopping in 3 days my entire life...impressive, impressive.
Wishing you all a very happy holiday and a prosperous 2009.
